It’s no surprise that Minecraft continues to be one of the biggest video games on the market today, with millions of people playing it across multiple platforms. However, a new report has just been released that reveals how many units are sold per day of the game on average, and the numbers are pretty impressive.
According to the New York Times, Minecraft sells around 10,000 units per day. To go along with those details is that about 40% of those who play the game are women and the average player age range is 28 to 29 years old.
Minecraft began as an indie game developed by Mojang over 7 years ago, but quickly exploded into a phenomenon with over 100 million players worldwide. Microsoft bought both the game and its developer a couple years ago for a whopping $2.5 billion.
The entire New York Times article goes into a lot more detail about the game and the impact it has made, so be sure to give it a read if you’re interested by clicking right here.
