DICE has confirmed that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be playable at Gamescom 2015. A new trailer will debut at the event as well.

The game’s community manager, Vincent Vukovic, made this announcement on the game’s official website. Vukovic even found time to answer a few fan questions.

He said at Gamescom 2015, a new trailer for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be shown and the game will even be playable for people able to attend the show in person.

Vukovic also clarified what this game is. Many people are wondering if it’s a prequel, sequel or a reboot. He didn’t really answer the question directly, but he said it’s a new game with new experiences, but it will still honor the first game. However, he did say that the game looks at the origin story of Faith.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is also obviously a free roaming game. When you are not doing story missions, you’ll be able to roam around the huge city of Glass at your own pace and no loading screens too. You can run to your heart’s content doing extra challenges and finding hidden pathways and more.

The game will be out February 23rd in North America and February 26th in Europe for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
