Monster Hunter World Online Is Broken Right Now on Xbox One

Monster Hunter World has been a great game so far.  Unfortunately, the Xbox One version is broken right now when it comes to online play.  While we reviewed the PS4 version, and gave it high marks, the Xbox One version isn’t quite offering the same experience right now and that’s because the very thing that the game was built around, online play, is not working.

Since starting to play the game this weekend, none of the online features appear to be working correct.  Whether that’s the SOS, Squad Features, Online Sessions with other players, and the other multiplayer features of the game, none of them seem to be working.

Capcom is aware that there are matchmaking issues in Monster Hunter World on the Xbox One.  They’ve recently said so much via Twitter and that the “dev team is actively investigating it.”  Capcom has not advised as to when Xbox One Monster Hunter World players will see improvements to fix matchmaking in the game.

Until then there’s still plenty to do on your own, but if you’re having problems with a specific monster, don’t count on other players being able to bail you out with an SOS or group up event.
