Tired of all the available Gamerpics on Xbox One? Don’t want to spend money buying more of the tiny images just to impress your friends? If you’re an Xbox Insider in Ring 3 or 4 then you won’t have to worry anymore as Microsoft just rolled out Custom Gamerpics to this larger group of Xbox One gamers.

The feature is slowly making its way through the Xbox Insider program, with it expected to arrive for all players at some point in the future. Custom Gamerpics allow you to create your own image to represent your account. It will then show up on other players’ friend list and in many games.

Gamerpics were sort of a huge deal when the Xbox 360 launched with its enhanced Xbox Live features. Everybody loved getting cool pictures to represent themselves. Most only services now offer this feature, so it’s less important, but players still want a Gamerpic that represents them. Some cost money though, and for such a small part of the gaming experience, that was just too much for many gamers.

Rolling out Custom Gamerpics to more players is a great move, and fits with the revamped Microsoft that we’ve been seeing lately. Hopefully they can get it to all players on Xbox One some time soon.
