Bandai Namco has presented at Tokyo Game Show 2017 a new trailer of Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, the upcoming fighting game based on the popular manga that is replacing the Ultimate Ninja Storm series now that it’s ended. As the trailer highlights, Shinobi Striker focuses on online multiplayer tournaments with a main mode called Ninja League, where players participate with their own customized fighter.
Battles take place between two teams of four players each in huge scenarios that allow for exploration and a huge freedom of movement and taking advantage of walls, buildings, and other elements to launch surprise attacks on the enemies. Players of each team need to work together in order to defeat their enemies, making use of their distinctive style of fighting including Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Heal, and each of their ninjutsu techniques, all inspired on the attacks seen on the anime.
The game is being developed by Soliel, a subsidiary of Valhalla Games Studios that counts with some former members of Team Ninja. The team is lead by Katsunori Ehara, who directed Ninja Gaiden 2. At the end of the trailer, the developers announce an upcoming beta test, with more details to be determined in the coming months.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, on early 2018. Watch the new trailer below.
