by Dean James

NBA 2K17 is nearly here and with that has come the release of many players ratings, though no full list has been unveiled as of yet. However, we do now have a rundown of just who the top rated players will be on each team to start off the year.

247Sports is one of the fastest growing sports networks online and they have now provided us with a list of the top players on each team in NBA 2K17. Most teams only have one player in this spot, but in the case of a tie, both will be listed.

The following is the list of players given, broken down by team, with their overall current rating shown in the parentheses.

Atlanta Hawks – Paul Milsap (86)
Boston Celtics – Isaiah Thomas & Al Horford (85)
Brooklyn Nets – Brook Lopez (81)
Charlotte Hornets – Kemba Walker (85)
Chicago Bulls – Jimmy Butler (88)
Cleveland Cavaliers – LeBron James (96)
Dallas Mavericks – Dirk Nowitzki (84)
Denver Nuggets – Danilo Gallinari & Kenneth Farled (80)
Detroit Pistons – Andre Drummond (87)
Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry (94)
Houston Rockets – James Harden (90)
Indiana Pacers – Paul George (90)
Los Angeles Clippers – Chris Paul (91)
Los Angeles Lakers – D’Angelo Russell (79)
Memphis Grizzlies – Mike Conley & Marc Gasol (85)
Miami Heat – Chris Bosh (86)
Milwaukee Bucks – Giannis Antetokounmpo (83)
Minnesota Timberwolves – Karl-Anthony Towns (88)
New Orleans Pelicans – Anthony Davis (90)
New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony (88)
Oklahoma City Thunder – Russell Westbrook (93)
Orlando Magic – Nikola Vucevic (80)
Philadelphia 76ers – Jahilil Okafor & Ben Simmons (79)

Sacramento Kings – DeMarcus Cousins (90)
San Antonio Spurs – Kawhi Leonard (93)
Toronto Raptors – DeMar DeRozan (87)
Utah Jazz – Derrick Favors (85)

Most of these ratings are not a big surprise, like with LeBron James being the top rated player, though it is very interesting to see rookie Ben Simmons already tied for the highest rated spot on the 76ers, even if that is at a 79 overall.

NBA 2K17 will technically be releasing for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on Tuesday, September 20, but those who choose to pre-order the game or get the Early Tip-Off version will be able to get the game on Friday, September 16.
