Another day, another new fighter revealed for Mortal Kombat 11. This time however, it is a brand new character debuting for the first time in the series, and it’s the Elder God Cetrion. Like her contemporaries, Cetrion is associated with the abilities and powers of nature, but she appears to be able to use a wide variety of moves based on all sorts of elements as well.

Cetrion’s looks to be a range fighter, using her special powers to attack from afar while drawing her opponent closer for some combos. This includes summoning fire from the ground and using telekinesis to throw large rocks. In addition, she can use ice and water as projectile attacks, giving her multiple styles of special abilities, something very unique among the Mortal Kombat cast.

As for her Fatality, she summons several rocks that crush her opponent before stomping them into the ground. She then proceeds to grow into a giant, so much that she reaches outer space, and hurls a massive mouth beam in which the fighter then explodes upon impact. While Cetrion looks like an intriguing character, we don’t know how she will fit into the story. With the release date so close, we may just have to wait until we actually play the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We played the closed Online Beta last week and gave our impressions which you can check out here.
