This past week, Nintendo held their annual shareholder meetings after one of the most disappointing fiscal years in awhile for the company. During this time, there were plenty of discussions about other elements of the company, including the games themselves. One particular series that was discussed quite a bit was The Legend of Zelda series by the man himself, Shigeru Miyomoto.
One piece of discussion that was of particular interest was the mention of a currently unannounced game in the series, with The Legend of Zelda Wii U and Hyrule Warriors the only two we know about right now.
- “We have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them.”
The question is whether this is a new standalone game like we saw last year with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, or will it instead be a remake of a game, such as the must wanted The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
After the innovations and just downright fun nature of A Link Between Worlds, I can’t wait to see what they bring us next. I personally would like to see both in the next couple years, but even as a huge Majora’s Mask fan I think I’d rather have a completely brand new experience if I could only have one. If you could help design the game, what would you like to see from the next Legend of Zelda game for the Nintendo 3DS?
