The new Spider-Man movie that Marvel is set to release next year may have found its official name. The rumored name of the movie is Spider-Man: Homecoming.
As reported by Empire, Sony recently registered the URL of SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com. This is different from the rumored ‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’ name that has been floating around.
The Homecoming subtitle makes sense because this is the first time that Marvel Studios will actually be actively involved in the production of the movie. The past five movies were mostly done by Sony by itself. Now the two studios are working together to rekindle people’s interest in the character.
We don’t have to wait that long to see the new Spider-Man in action as Tom Holland is starring in Captain America: Civil War. You may have already seen him in action thanks to the new trailer that just came out recently.
Fans don’t have to worry about the new movie being an origin story, Marvel already mentioned it is not going to revisit the death of Uncle Ben again as people already know how Spider-Man came to be.
Sony asked Marvel to help out since The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 were not well received. This is the third time the character has been rebooted and hopefully it turns out to be the best iteration.
