EA just showed some great gameplay footage for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst at Gamescom 2015 earlier today.

The gameplay is over 5 minutes long and takes place early in Faith’s journey. All of the footage was taken from a pre-alpha build.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is a unique first person game because it emphasizes on hand-to-hand combat and free running. Faith will not be using any guns in the game.

The Gamescom footage looks excellent and is fluid. It can be a little dizzying at times, but the free-roaming city is something that looks very exciting.

It’s worth mentioning this mission has been condensed in order to fit the video. The full mission in the game will be longer and is likely to give you more cutscenes and background material.

The game will be out on February 23rd, 2016 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
