The new Xbox One update that bring backwards compatibility and lots of other cool things is rolling out today to every console owner. Some people have received the update already.

The new Xbox One update has been rolling out now to regions such as Australia and North America already. If you haven’t received it yet, you should be able to download it later today.

The update itself is around 1.1 to 1.2 GB large. The update is a big one as it changes the look of the UI and brings a lot of other new features too. The UI itself will be faster to load.

However, the biggest addition to this update is the feature of backwards compatibility. Microsoft announced earlier this week that the Xbox One will be able to play 104 Xbox 360 games from November 12th, 2015. More games will be available to play in the near future.

Another thing worth mentioning about this update is that Kinect gestures for navigating the dashboard have been removed completely. This was done mainly because not many people used the feature to begin with. Not to mention the Kinect is not a mandatory device for Xbox owners anymore…
