Last night was the big Nintendo Switch reveal that gamers had been waiting months for. While we’d seen the system before, the livestream gave us all the details that we needed to know whether or not the Switch was for us. Apparently a lot of people felt that it was because the Nintendo Switch and its games are currently dominating the Amazon Best Sellers chart.

This isn’t too shocking, as gamers are frantically trying to get their pre-orders in for the system and its games. The console itself went on sale early this morning, and sold out extremely quickly. Its games are staying in stock much longer, expect for the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Edition of course. Even with the system selling out so fast, the Nintendo Switch is currently the best selling item in Amazon’s video game category.

The games litter the rest of the list, taking up a total of eight spots on the top ten list. PlayStation Store gift cards take up the other two spots. The top selling game is, unsurprisingly, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In fact, its three variations are the top three selling games for Nintendo Switch, and across Amazon as a whole. They are followed by Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2 respectively.

It is still very much up in the air whether Nintendo Switch will be a huge success or not. The Wii U also generated excitement at its reveal, but the launch was not so successful. Right now gamers are very excited for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s up to Nintendo to keep that momentum going until the March 3rd release date. They’re doing well so far, but things get tough once money actually starts changing hands, and stock issues start to crop up.
