The competition will take place at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25th. Fans are encouraged to enter the tournament by heading to the Nintendo Gaming Lounge located at the Marriott Marquis & Marina, which is near the San Diego Convention Center. The entire tournament will be streamed on Nintendo’s Twitch channel for those who are unable to attend SDCC.
Preliminary qualifying rounds begin at noon, and is limited to a certain number of players on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups of four players will be put together to fight in one-on-one duels. Only one player in each four person group will proceed to the next round of the tournament.
