Capcom’s Monster Hunter World was the big winner when it comes to software sales in the month of April, according to the latest figures released by NPD Group. As a whole, spending on video games in hardware, software, and accessories are on the rise across the board with a total year over year increase of 23% from February 2018. Hardware saw an increase of 55% year over year, while accessories saw an increase of 35%. Games were about even in total sales when compared to February of 2017.

This is the second straight month that Monster Hunter World reigned as the top software seller. Notable drop-offs out of the top-10 include PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but it did still stay near the top of the Xbox sales chart.
