NX Will Put Nintendo Back In The Race, Says Ubisoft

Nintendo has a lot riding on their upcoming NX console, seeing as their current home console (and even their current handheld, to an extent) have not lived up to the success of their predecessors. While the average gamer knows little to nothing about the NX, the console has apparently been checked out by many within the industry itself.

One such company who seems to know a lot about the NX is Ubisoft, who has actually been singing the console’s praises for awhile now. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot held a call with shareholders recently when he discussed the NX, saying “I believe Nintendo will be back in the race with the NX.”

We have heard him discuss the system several times before, revealing that Ubisoft will be supporting the console and that it will change the perception of what a console can be in this day and age. Apart from some rumors suggesting it’s a home console/handheld hybrid, we know very little when it comes to actual confirmed details.

All of that is expected to be changing relatively soon, however, as Nintendo is expected to officially reveal the console at some time in October. It’s then when we’re expected to learn the console’s actual name, price and release date, with the company potentially sharing that information during an upcoming Nintendo Direct.
