An official Xbox One backwards compatibility game list will be revealed on November 9th.

Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer confirmed on Twitter to a fan: “We will announce the back compat list of the first 100 on 11/9“.

Microsoft and many other developers and publishers have hinted on many Xbox 360 games being backwards compatible. However, this official list will give us an indication on all the games that will be playable later this month.

The new Xbox One experience update will launch to all console owners on November 12th. This list will give you three days to check to see if your old Xbox 360 games will be playable on your new console.

Remember, this list of 100 games are ones that will be playable on launch. If you see your favorite Xbox 360 game missing, don’t worry as Microsoft plans to make more games compatible in the near future.

The only types of games that have been ruled out complete are Kinect Xbox 360 exclusives. This shouldn’t worry too many gamers as the likes of Star Wars Kinect and Dragon Ball Z Kinect did not gel well with fans. There was even a Hulk Hogan Kinect game too…

Come November 9th, we should be posting a list of all the 100 games
that you should be able to play.
