News has hit Gamestop, that Blizzard Entertainment’s new first-person shooter, Overwatch, will be releasing on Xbox One and PS4. According to information that was received by Gameinformer magazine, the game will be priced at $59.99, and that Blizzard Entertainment will be sharing more news tomorrow at the Blizzcon opening ceremony.

Overwatch entered a close beta for PC on October 27th, 2015. The game focuses on arena style cooperative combat, with an emphasis on team oriented matches in modes such as Payload and Point Capture. The description for the game’s story is as followed:

“Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities. In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world: Overwatch. It ended the crisis and helped to maintain peace in the decades that followed, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. But after many years, Overwatch’s influence waned, and it was eventually disbanded. Overwatch is gone… but the world still needs heroes.

It’s exciting to see Blizzard take another leap onto the consoles since the success of Diablo III, and I’m sure fans of multiplayer shooters will get a kick out of the gameplay.
