Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Pre-Order Characters Revealed

Atlus has announced a couple of goodies they’ll be making available to die-hard Persona fans once Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight launch this December. Two new characters will be coming to the game, and two special editions will be available at launch for those who could always use more Persona in their lives. For everyone else, it depends on whether or not these characters left enough of an impression to be worth the extra effort.

First up is Shinjiro Aragaki from Persona 3. He’s the sort of character that puts on a gruff facade in order to conceal their otherwise kind and caring nature. Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight being what it is, he’ll have to show off his best moves if selected. Like the rest of the cast, he comes with a couple of alternate costumes, including a butler outfit for those who’d like to see their favorite tough guy dance with a more refined air to him.

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight’s extra character is none other than Goro Akechi. He’s the brilliant young detective sort on the surface, but there’s much more to him than that. In Persona 5, that extra depth comes into play in a big way, but here it just means that he enjoys getting his dance on. His alternate costumes include his Metaverse garb and something similar in appearance to the uniforms worn by the Velvet Room’s twin wardens.

The game will have a Day One Edition which includes both characters, and an “Endless Night Edition” which includes both pre-order characters, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and a hardcover art book. It’s currently unknown if those who purchase outside of the launch window will have to buy these characters separately or if they’ll just have to wait. Hopefully it’s the former, because having to shell out extra for a couple of characters included at launch isn’t ideal.

All versions of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight & Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight launch on December 4 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
