Many fans were worried about the fate of PES 2016 a few weeks ago, due to the current state of Konami. They quickly dismissed that there was any chance of the series ending and now have officially dated the game, and it’s coming much earlier than last year’s.
PES 2015 did not release until November, as a result of needing to polish up the game for its first outing on current-gen consoles. However, PES 2016 is coming much earlier on September 15 in the US, with it coming two days later on September 17 in Europe.
According to VideoGamer, Konami is touting improved 1v1 player controls for PES 2016, which includes faster responses times and more to help make this as realistic as possible. On the other side of the ball, they are introducing what they are calling “Perfect Defense,” which will change up how you defend against your opponent.
Probably the most intriguing new addition in PES 2016 is that of Dynamic Weather for the first time in the series. Rain can start at any time and the physics will adjust based on the rain, including the ball moving faster and being harder to trap by players.
PES 2016 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 15 in the US.
