SOE has announced today that Planetside 2 will soon be arriving on the PlayStation 4. Good news in itself, the developers have also revealed that the game will not require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access on the console.
That means anyone who owns a PS4 can play the game completely free of charge.
Planetside 2 has been out for quite some time on the PC, but SOE says that they are adding new systems and features to the PS4 release (as well as PC). Planetside 2 will see the addition of a fourth massive continent to play on, a new achievement system, player-driven continent conquest/locking, and an expansion to the Outfits system.
Expect more news from Sony about Planetside 2 out of E3 2014. There’s still no official release date for Planetside 2 on the PS4.
