Following a leak of epic proportions, the content that was included in the beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale may not make it into the final cut for the game. Super Bot Entertainment qualified the leaked information in a recent address to fans.  Explaining that while they are happy to have seen such a huge response to unannounced characters, environments, and features, some of them may not make it into the final game.

“We’ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reactions and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups, however we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular.”

The leak occurred during a private, invite-only beta testing session where Super Bot allowed a small group of testers to get hands on with the game.  Sony will be launching a public beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale this fall, that is according to Super Bot Entertainmant’s announcement via the PlayStation Blog.

The beta test leaked eight new unannounced characters which included: Raiden from Metal Gear Rising, Dante from DMC, Ratchet from Ratch & Clank, Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil, Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, Nariko from Heavenly Sword,  Spike from Ape Escape, and Evil Cole from inFamous.

Stages from PlayStation classics were also found in the beta.  Themed stages for Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted, Twisted Metal, Sly Cooper were all recently discovered.

PlayStation Plus subs will get first crack at the public beta, and like other Sony titles in the past, will trickle down to the general public over time.  PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will release on October 23rd, 2012 exclusively on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
