Nintendo has officially revealed that a special Pokemon Direct will take place on Thursday, June 5 at 6:00 am PST/9:00 am EST on their respective Twitch and Youtube channels. The Direct will contain brand new information regarding their upcoming games, Pokemon Sword and Shield, which will include a brand new generation of Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch.

In what appears to be a strategic announcement, this Direct will give Nintendo a relative head start as it takes place just days before E3 2019. On top of that, the company also has its own E3 Direct scheduled for Tuesday, June 11 long after all of the other companies give their press conferences. So not only dies Nintendo have a distinct offering right before the event, but they will essentially have the last word depending on what is shown during their presentations.

As for the Pokemon aspect, Nintendo has already revealed quite a bit for the upcoming RPG. However, the one thing that hasnt been revealed is the actual release date. While we do know that it will come out during the holidays this year, the company has been very quiet on the date itself. This Direct could finally be where Nintendo unveils that last piece of information that everyone is waiting for. As we stated earlier, the Pokemon Direct will take place on Thursday, June 5 at 6:00 am PST/9:00 am EST.
