Speculation has been running wild, mostly thanks to a few key leaks and teases, but we finally have all the details about the upcoming Pokemon Go Halloween event. Starting tomorrow, October 20th, and running until November 2nd, Pokemon Go players can enjoy double candy for pretty much all activities. This event will also be the debut of Gen 3 Pokemon, but only specific ones that fit the holiday, along with additional spawns for other dark and ghost type Pokemon. More are coming later on, with some showing up as early as December.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a PoGo event without a special Pikachu. Witch Hat Pikachu will spawn all throughout, and it’s likely that we’ll see unique Pichu’s hidden in 2K eggs. With double candy for egg hatches, you’ll want to hatch as many as possible anyway, and Niantic is ready to sell you stuff to help.

“You’ll have the opportunity to stock up for your upcoming adventures with special boxes from the in-game shop, featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators,” reads the announcement. These boxes typically offer a nice discount over buying the items separately, so get ready to plunk some coins into the game starting tomorrow.
