Today the Pokemon Go servers have been really inconsistent. If you have tried to log-in, the servers will be down but up again. It has been doing this for the past several hours now.

Several hours ago, many players noticed that the Pokemon Go servers were down worldwide. As of right now, it appears the servers are trying to get back up again, but don’t worry if you are having trouble because it has affected everyone.

If you encounter errors such as failing to log in or the game freezing on you, these are server issues and nothing to do with your own account. Try and be patient as things should work out eventually.

However according to Independent UK, the servers may have been down due to an annoying DDOS attack. A hacking group has claimed responsibility for the attacks which is why everyone is crying right now.

If you are playing the game, it’s best to wait until tomorrow until all of these things are fixed. It’s very annoying that the hackers chose to take them down during the weekend. We’ll let you know if more updates come our way.

Update: The official Pokemon Go Twitter page tweeted: “The issues causing the server problems have been identified. Trainers should once again be able to search for Pokémon in the real world.”
