Minecraft 1.6 Horse DLC goes into pre-release

Minecraft 1.6 has gone into pre-release on PC, and it comes with the addition of a number of different features. The update is slate to arrive as a full update on July 1st, and will require a new Minecraft launcher. The Minecraft launcher will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Update 1.6 for Minecraft has a lot more than just Horses. Players will also get Donkeys and Mules, Armor for their equine friends, Hay bales, and more.

  • Added Horses
  • Added Donkeys, Mules
  • Added Horse Armor
  • Added Leads
  • Added Carpets
  • Added Hardened Clay, Stained Clay
  • Added Block of Coal
  • Added Name Tags (item)
  • Added Hay Bales
  • Texture packs are now “resource packs” that also can hold sound etc
  • Food meter is now drained when healed by full food meter
  • Removed Herobrine
