Activision has come clean on the exact timing for the PS3 release of the Modern Warfare 3 Elite DLC.  PlayStation users can expect to recieve the update on February 28th, about one month after Premium Call of Duty: Elite players on the Xbox 360.    Apparently Microsoft is giving Activision little room to manuever Elite content to PlayStation gamers with their exclusivity agreement lasting through 2012.

There had been some confusion as to the timing of when Premium members of Elite on the PS3 would get the new content for the shooter.  Some had thought that being a premium subscriber on the PS3 would allow for them to get the content at the same time as Xbox 360 players, but as you can see, this is not the case.

Dan Amrich of Activision recently explained the agreement between Microsoft and Activision in a blog post a One of Swords.  When the content does arrive on the PlayStation 3, the first “content drop” will include two new multiplayer maps:  Liberation and Piazza.
