Sony will be rolling out the PlayStation 4 Firmware Update 1.60 over the next 24-hours. The firmware update will provide support for the PULSE and PULSE Elite headsets. Once the update goes live, owners will be able to experience 7.1 Surround Sound and Voice Chat through the devices.

Alongside the release of the update, Sony will release a companion app for supported headset devices. This new app allows headset users to download custom and game-specific audio modes, created by developers to enhance the gaming experience.
