Rockstar Games has finally issued a release date for Red Dead Redemption. Announced today the game will arrive on October 26th, 2018. This news does come as a delay as the game was expected before this, but apparently more “polish” was needed according to Rockstar.
That said, the announcement was brief but promised that more information about the game would be heading out in the weeks ahead. The news also pretty much confirms that Red Dead Redemption 2 will not be coming to PC (at least not on this date).
Pre-orders are available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, and new screenshots have been released that come from both platforms.
Very little is known about Red Dead Redemption 2, as there’s only been a bit of information revealed about the game by Rockstar. What we’ve seen thus far leads us to believe that it’s a prequel. Rockstar has gone on the record about the single player focus of the game, and if you missed the last trailer for the game you can find that here.
Looks like October is going to be a busy month in 2018. EA recently announced their new Battlefield game for October 2018 and with Red Dead Redemption 2 also on the board for the same window Xbox One and PS4 owners should have their hands full.
