Super Smash Bros. may have caused an increase in demand for the Wii U as refurbished consoles are sold out on Nintendo’s official website currently.

If you currently got to Nintendo’s official website store, you will see a message highlighted in bold red that they are “currently out of stock”. The message just further points out to just check back with them later until more stock should hopefully arrive.

The refurbished Wii U selling out is the deluxe 32GB model. This is the one that comes with a free copy of Nintendo Land. It also comes with a one year warranty, sensor bar, gamepad and HDMI cable. This is the only refurbished Wii U model the website is currently selling, as they are no longer selling the old white model. If you want a cheap Wii U model, you will have to find another website store.

Nintendo announced a ton of new information about the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. This must have caused a huge demand for the console for it to sell out on the Nintendo Store. A lot of people own the 3DS version of the game, but the Wii U version sounds like it’s even bigger and better.
