The original developer for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is none other than Vince Zampella who is now with Respawn Entertainment. Zampella actually contacted Activision personally to tell them not to ruin the game with the remaster that will be out later this year.
Zampella let out some steam about his thoughts on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered via a new interview with Eurogamer. He’s hoping the remaster doesn’t ruin people’s memories of the original game.
He said: “I told them–don’t f*** it up. That’s my on the record response. I rang [Activision] up and said, honestly, don’t f**k it up. It’s a huge part of people’s gaming memories.”
Normally remasters don’t change too many things as they play exactly the same as the original. There are only a few times that remasters were inferior to the original game.
The only times remasters suffered issues was when Konami re-released Silent Hill 2 and 3. Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD was also a bad remaster as it didn’t have the original music and skaters. The game also had different physics that didn’t please fans.
Raven Software is in charge of developing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. From the looks of things right now, the remaster won’t be changing too many things aside from making the graphics look better.
