It looks like Catwoman isn’t going to be the only playable character in Batman: Arkham City.  Today it was revealed that the Boy Wonder himself will be playable in Rocksteady’s sequel.  Found in the circular for Best Buy, the retailer claims that Robin will be an exclusive downloadable character that can be used in two challenge maps if you pre-order from the store.

This sounds very similar to what Rocksteady did with the PlayStation 3 version of Batman: Arkham Asylum.  They offered The Joker exclusively to the PS3 but he was only playable on challenge maps.

We already know that Catwoman will be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City’s single player romp, will Rocksteady announce any other playable characters that extend into the campaign?  According to the developer, they definitely didn’t put all their cards on the table at E3.  I suppose we’ll find out more as we march towards Batman: Arkham City’s October release.
