Rock Band 4 has been out for a few weeks, and while the DLC and song imports are still a bit of a mess, the team is starting to get out updates to address other issues that fans have had. These include the lack of 5.1 surround sound, audio issues with PS4 streaming, and many more. Check out the full list of additions and fixes below:

“Allow custom characters as band stand-ins. Session musician screen now displays custom characters as well as the prefab characters. Quickplay now uses the most recent band’s stand-ins to populate characters. 5.1 surround crowd audio support and mic volume adjustment. Added functionality to support vocal overdrive deploy with touch pad for PlayStation 4. Added support for streaming audio for PlayStation 4”

Along with this come some fixes for various legacy controllers in Rock Band 4. As you should know, most older Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments will work with Rock Band 4, but some needed a few tweaks to get working perfectly. These changes include: “Fix for Xbox One = Lefty flip issue for Guitar Hero drums. Fix for PlayStation 4 = Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar does not deploy overdrive when tilted. Fix for PlayStation 4 = The Beatles: Rock Band guitar unable to auto-calibrate”

There were also a few smaller fixes that will make the game have a smoother experience, including being able to get guitar solo achievements even with the new Freestyle Solos turned off, and a bunch of Tour patches.

Rock Band 4 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
