UPDATE:Â Nintendo and Psyonix sent out some more details. Rocket League on Switch will have exclusive cars and customizations and will allow for cross platform play. The game hits this Holiday season.
Original Story:Â It topped our list of most wanted games for Nintendo Switch, and it seems that Psyonix is finally ready to deliver. Starting off today’s Nintendo E3 Spotlight with a bunch of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch, Rocket League subtly made its way into the presentation. Hidden among ARMS, Splatoon 2, and many other games was the highly anticipated Rocket League, and the fans went nuts.
Rocket League has been a juggernaut in the gaming industry, with it launching as a little known sequel to an even lesser known predecessor. Now it’s one of the biggest games in the world, and fans have been begging for a Switch release ever since the console was unveiled.
The reason seems to be that Rocket League is a perfect fit for Nintendo’s new console. Being able to take the game on the go is a huge plus, and aside from maybe playing on a laptop, no other platform allows for this feature. Well, fans dreams are coming true and it seems like they’ll be getting the game on Switch some time soon.
Unfortunately no other details were shared in the opening video. The Nintendo E3 Showcase lasts 30 minutes this morning, so we’ll update this article if they give any other details.
