It has come to light that Rockstar, creators of the Grand Theft Auto series, will not be attending E3. That’s right, Rockstar won’t have any demos, any booths or any significant presence at this year’s trade show and that doesn’t look good for fans expecting to hear some new information on the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V. This also means that the studio’s elusive Playstation exclusive, Agent, will be even less likely to make an appearance. It should be noted that Rockstar normally doesn’t make much of an appearance at E3 to demonstrate their titles, so it’s entirely possible that Take-Two will facilitate some sort of presentation for GTA V instead.
…this may result in little information about the new open world, crime game.
Without a presence at the show, it’s entirely possible that Rockstar makes some sort of showing at one of the major Press Conferences this year, much like they have in the past. Right now, it’s unclear when Rockstar intends to release Grand Theft Auto V. The original consensus was that GTA V would arrive in the Fall of 2012, but recently, many analysts have pushed back those expectations into early to mid 2013.
