Star Wars: Rogue One appears to have started filming already as the first scene has apparently been shot.
According to Making Star Wars, sources tell them that filming for Star Wars: Rogue One has already begun. Felicity Jones has filmed the first scene from the movie already.
According to the report, the first scene from Star Wars: Rogue One will have a lot of trees. A “landing in the jungle” is said to be the first scene in the movie.
Making Star Wars also noted in a previous post that Star Wars: Rogue One is also sharing some of the same props, outfits and more from Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. This is interesting since Rogue One is set around 30 years earlier than The Force Awakens.
It’s unlikely we will know many more details about Star Wars: Rogue One until possibly Comic Con later this month. Although Disney is likely to announce more news about Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens first.
All we really know from Star Wars: Rogue One is that it will focus on the Rebels as they try to steal the Death Star plans. It will be slightly darker and more realistic than other films in the series. There is also said to be no Jedi in the movie too.
