Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook will be the cover star for EA Sports’ NBA Live 16. We also get a glimpse of the first gameplay footage.
After 2K Games revealed three covers for NBA 2K16, EA Sports punched back unveiling Russell Westbrook for NBA Live 16. He is quite possibly the most famous NBA star EA have chosen since the series rebooted in 2013.
In previous years, NBA Live cover stars consisted of a young Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard. Russell Westbrook being on the cover for NBA Live 16 will attract a little more attention.
EA Sports also released a short trailer for NBA Live 16 showcasing the first gameplay footage. It looks like the game has far better graphics than NBA Live 14. That game looked very outdated for a PS4/Xbox One game. NBA Live 15 was an improvement though.
Much like the other NBA Live games, NBA Live 16 is exclusive to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles only. EA Sports have ignored the PC for some reason and already abandoned the PS3 and Xbox 360.
EA Sports is at E3 2015 next week and is sure to reveal more features and gameplay footage for NBA Live 16.
