Loud-mouthed open-world game Saints Row IV has stormed to the top of the UK All Formats Charts following a successful launch last week.
The game, which is the first in the series to be published by Deep Silver after purchasing the rights from the now-defunct THQ, has claimed the 4th largest game launch in the UK this year, being beaten by BioShock: Infinite, Tomb Raider and The Last Of Us. It couldn’t however, match it’s predecessor Saints Row: The Third on first week sales.
Elsewhere in the charts, The Last Of  Us slips down from 6th to 9th, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist debuts in 2nd and Payday 2 falls from 1st right back down to 18th spot. Here are the top 10:
- Saints Row IV – Koch Media
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist – Ubisoft
- Disney Infinity – Disney Interactive Studios
- Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition – Microsoft
- Call Of Duty: Black Ops II – Activision Blizzard
- FIFA 13 – Electronic Arts
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Nintendo
- Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes – Warner Bros. Interactive
