Overwatch released back in May and is holding strong with a big player base that has been especially large this weekend due to the free play weekend on both PS4 and Xbox One. For those that really have enjoyed the free trial this weekend or just want to buy the game outright without playing the trial, Blizzard has a special deal for you.
As revealed on the official Overwatch website, Blizzard has temporarily reduced the price of Overwatch: Origins Edition by $10 for a very limited time. This means you can get this version of Overwatch for only $49.99 during this sale.
This discounted price is active on the Overwatch website, as well as at select retailers. The site doesn’t say which retailers, but from looking briefly, it appears that Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop are offering the lower price, while Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us still have the game at full price.
This sale price will last through this coming Thursday, September 15 at 11:59 pm PT, so you still have plenty of time to decide whether you want to take advantage of this sale or not. There are bound to be other sales for the game as we start to approach the holiday season, so you could wait, but if you want to get it now, this is a great deal.
