Dissidia Final Fantasy has been out and adored in Japanese arcades for a long time now, with the game also getting a steady stream of new characters to keep things fresh. This latest addition to the game’s roster is definitely one of the most notable yet, as it adds the iconic villain from Final Fantasy 7.
The iconic villain in question is Sephiroth, who was showcased in a new video where he can be seen battling Cloud in the Mako Reactor. It looks fantastic, and you can check it out for yourself at the bottom of this post.
The Dissidia Final Fantasy series had only ever previously been released on Sony handhelds, though this latest iteration is currently exclusive to Japanese arcades. However, it is expected to get a console release at some point, as the game’s reveal was actually running on PlayStation 4 hardware.
Earlier this year the game also added Final Fantasy Tactics’ Ramza Beoulve to its roster, which you can learn more about by clicking right here. Check out Sephiroth in action via the video below.
