Skull Face Might Not Have A Big Role In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It looks like Skull Face from Ground Zeroes doesn’t have a really big part in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Skull Face’s voice actor, James Horan, was interviewed recently by Fragged Nation on YouTube. It sounds like he doesn’t have much dialogue to say in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

When talking about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Horan doesn’t remember much about recording it. He said he may have just been in the studio to record for only a “couple of hours“. He even said his recording may have been as long as just “an hour and a half“.

Horan also didn’t have to do any motion capture work for Skull Face in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain either. Many of the other voice actors worked for far longer providing both the actions and voices to their respective characters. Horan just said he may have only done face scans, but he honestly doesn’t remember much about his experience.

It’s interesting how Horan doesn’t remember much about his time recording Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It reminds me of the one time Liam Neeson was on the Graham Norton Show and he forgot he was in the movie “Battleship”.

Much like other voice actors, Horan didn’t want to share any more details on how Skull Face fits in the actual Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain story. We just have to find this out for ourselves when the game comes out this September.
