Skyrim publisher Bethesda opens Battlecry Studios in Austin

Bethesda Softworks has announced the opening of a new game development studio in Austin, Texas called Battlecry Studios. Rich Vogel, a recently departed veteran from Bioware will head up the studio and is excited to be working with Bethesda.

“I have always admired and respected Bethesda’s approach to making great original games. It’s a belief and passion I share, and I’m looking forward to building a team of high quality developers who want to bring that same commitment and creative energy to the games we’ll be creating.”

Right now, Battlecry studios in the hiring phase for the Bethesda branch. They have announced no new games at this time, but current job openings indicate that Vogel’s team may be working on a free to play online title.
