Do you live and breathe PlayStation? Sony certainly hopes you do, and now they’ve announced a new way to enhance your overall PS experience: the brand new and official PlayStation credit card. Like other promotional cards of this ilk, card holders will get special benefits and promotions centered around all things PlayStation. Based on your purchases you will earn points which can then be used to buy other stuff. Here’s how the whole thing works…

PlayStation credit card holders, once they are approved, will get a $50 PS Store gift card to add to their account. Afterward, all purchases will earn points, but those made involving PlayStation will earn even more. Card holders will get 3 points for every dollar spent on their mobile phone bill, 5 points “on all PlayStation and Sony purchases at authorized retailers with purchase confirmation using a Sony Rewards Bonus Points form”, and 5 points on anything bought in the PS Store.

So, if you’re a die hard PS4 player the card might save you some money in the long run. The whole thing is a collaboration between Sony, Sony Rewards, and Capital One. Click here to check out more of the fine print and to read about all the reward possibilities, including discounts on PS Plus subscriptions. It’s a pretty standard credit card it seems, so it’s just a question of how much you live and die PlayStation.
