A Reddit user has uncovered files during Star Wars Battlefront 2’s ongoing Alpha that have revealed a partial list of the Hero roster in the game. Much of the list includes returning characters we already knew about but it also revealed that a fan favorite from the prequel era will be playable. As it turns out, General Grievous will indeed be in Star Wars Battlefront 2. The partial roster found by Reddit user uninspired_zebra can be read below.
- Boba Fett
- Han Solo
- Leia
- Luke
- Bossk
- Chewbacca
- Darth Vader
- Emperor
- Grievous
- Iden
- Kylo Ren
- Lando
- Maul
- Phasma
- Rey
- Yoda
This list is certainly incomplete as it does not include Finn, who was previously announced to be a free DLC character along with Captain Phasma after the game’s launch. A lot popular Jedi and Sith from the prequel era are also missing, likely to be added in at some point before release or with expansions. I know I’m not the only one who would love to play as Obi-Wan Kenobi or Count Dooku. Some fans have even been asking for characters from The Clone Wars animated series like Ahsoka Tano and Assaj Ventress, though these seem unlikely to make appearances.
In addition to names, uninspired_zebra detailed each character’s weapons and abilities found in the files as well. Unfortunately, General Grievous’ description and abilities were absent, but he does carry his signature four lightsabers from slain Jedi.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches on November 17, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
