Electronic Arts will be taking a new approach to downloadable content in Star Wars: Battlefront 2. This time around, all DLC for Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be free, which includes new characters that Battlefront fans have been asking for including Finn and Captain Phasma. Jon Boyega (Finn) joined the stream to announce his inclusion in the game.
The first of these content packs will feature levels and elements from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. What to expect from further multiplayer expansions have yet to be revealed. The first gameplay for Battlefront 2 took place at EA Play 2017 which showed off not only a good looking Star Wars title but a first look at some of the new features in multiplayer like new character classes, new vehicles, and more.
From the explanations by EA and the gameplay, it’s apparent that EA has taken fan feedback into consideration when it comes to progression elements and depth for the game. Multiplayer features numerous new classes with deeper progression elements where players actually have different roles on the battlefield, resembling something closer to the Battlefield series.
