The Star Wars video game called “Trials on Tatooine” will be coming to the Star Wars Celebration Europe event in London later this year. The game is compatible with the HTC Vive device.
The Star Wars Celebration event website made this awesome announcement. It is not really a game (yet) as they are calling it a “virtual reality experiment” for now. Trials on Tatooine is not being displayed at E3 2016 as the event said it “will be the only place in the world to experience the critically-acclaimed title.”
They posted: “ILMxLAB’s innovative virtual reality experiment, Trials on Tatooine, is coming for an exclusive engagement at Celebration on the show floor. Completely enveloping and immersive, Trials on Tatooine puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan sent to Tatooine, where you’ll rendezvous with the Millennium Falcon and step inside a galaxy far, far away like never before. Presented by Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment group ILMxLAB, with this room-scale VR installation using the HTC Vive”
ILMxLAB is also holding a special panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe so fans can ask them how they made the game and more. After fans criticized Star Wars Kinect, the new VR devices will hopefully make us feel more like proper Jedi Knights.
