Stereoscopic 3D will be possible on PlayStation 3 6.10.10

Sony will launch Stereoscopic 3D gaming tommorrow.  Titles that will be playable are Wipeout, PAIN, Super Stardust HD, and Motostorm: Pacific Rift.  Of course you wont be able to do anything with the titles unless you already own a 3D Television but don’t let that stop you from starting to scour your surroundings for loose change and items to pawn.

The good news is you probably now only have 2999.00 dollars to go, the bad news that rich kid down the street got one and is now laughing at you.

Update:  As it turns out, 3D gaming was just a fad and a shortlived one at that.  After a few months and a few big games on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 trying to do 3D it never really caught on.  People just didn’t adopt the technology as quickly as Sony expected.  They even offered smaller 3D televisions in bundles to try and push the technology but it just didn’t happen.

Motion controllers turned out to be much more popular, at least for Nintendo.  And now, Virtual Reality faces the same sort of situation that 3D gaming did just a few years back.
