Following the multitude of issues that plagued the Street Fighter V beta, Capcom took the decision to suspend it indefinitely. With nearly a month having passed since the beta originally launched, Capcom has announced its return, but only for European users. The beta will go live at 16:00 BST today and run until 00:00, and then again on Friday at the same time.
As for North America and Asia, Capcom have stated that they will share details on both regional stress tests when they are “are confident with the results from this test.”
If and when they are happy with the results of all of their region-specific stress tests, they will set the date and time for the 5 day global beta test.
A statement reads:
“Please note that, although this time we anticipate these tests being a smoother experience, there may still be issues experienced by some users which could hinder their experience. We would like to reiterate that all data received during each regional stress test will help us ensure that the game performs at an optimal level.”
Street Fighter V is due to be released in March 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC, with new characters, techniques and cross-platform multiplayer.
