Take-Two CEO Optimistic About The Nintendo NX Console

One of the reasons why the Wii U wasn’t popular is because it didn’t have much third party support. The Nintendo NX might be more successful thanks to the many industry figures looking forward to its release.

The latest person to praise the incoming release of the Nintendo NX console is Strauss Zelnick who is the CEO of Take-Two Interactive. He spoke more about how he feels about the new console during an interview with Game Industry.

He said: “We’re believers. We never want to count Nintendo out. They do it over and over and over again. So we feel pretty enthusiastic actually“. Zelnick went on further to note that Nintendo always rises even when they are down.

It’s not a slump, it’s intentional. They come to market, they do really well, and then they sort of exit the market for a period of time. They’ve been doing it for like 150 years, and that company has been doing the same thing… They’re really thoughtful, they come to market with something they really think is going to work, more often than not it really works, it blows up and then eventually they let it decline and they move on to the next thing. They don’t mind having time in between“.

The Nintendo NX console needs to do well since the Wii U failed to meet industry expectations. Hopefully the first details about the console are revealed to us later this year.
