Take-Two Updates Rockstar’s ‘Agent’ Trademark Once Again

Take-Two has now renewed its trademark for the video game ‘Agent’ even though nothing has been heard of the game for many years.

On the official United Status and Patent Trademark Office website, Take-Two appears to have renewed the ‘Agent’ trademark earlier this year. Whether this means anything remains to be seen.

Agent was a game announced way back in 2009 and was scheduled to be a PS3 exclusive. It was going to be set during the Cold War and was a spy thriller type of video game.

After so many years, the game has been missing in action ever since. Rockstar just went on to make Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 5 and that’s about it.

We’ve seen a few games come back from the dead and will be coming out soon. The Last Guardian was thought to be a loss cause, but Sony revived it and it will be released for the PS4 in 2016.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII was another “dead” game however Square Enix rebranded it to Final Fantasy XV and now we’ve seen a lot of the game recently.

It will be interesting to see if this trademark renewal for Agent means the game is still in development.
