The action roleplaying game, Tales of Arise is making strides in the figure sales that it is generating for Bandai Namco.

Tales of Arise is an action roleplaying game published over at Bandai Namco and the newest title to have spawned from the long-running Tales franchise. The game as according to the developers of the game was an attempt to introduce the Tales franchise to an even wider and global audience outside of Japan. With such intents, the creators centered such efforts in the artistic direction of the game. Through developing and advancing the art style that is concurrent with the Tales Series whilst combining it with atmosphere enhancing shading, the game set out to inherit values of the old Tales game, whilst evolving it to modern-day standards.

Tales of Arise was already carrying momentum with it, having reached 1 million copies shortly after its initial release. Fast forward almost two months in time from its release date, the sales figure for this game continues to rise at a good pace, having officially hit 1.5 million in global sales as of October 29th. The occasion was remarked upon by the official Twitter account of the game, with the tweet accompanied by a celebratory illustration drawn by the Art Director.

A best-selling “Tales of” videogame tally was done by the official Youtube channel back during March, recounting some of the best-performing entries in the franchise worldwide. Among the top three were Tales of Destiny, at 1.7 million copies, Tales of Vesperia at 2.37 million copies, and Tales of Symphonia at 2.4 million copies. Despite being a newcomer to the franchise, the number of copies that are being sold by Tales of Arise is quickly approaching its better-performing predecessors, and it is fair to see why such occasions would be celebrated as promptly as it is by the developers and staff over at Bandai Namco.

The game currently holds a positive rating across all platforms and still finds itself being patched to iron out all the bugs and glitches. The last update of substance was a collaboration DLC with Sword Art online at the beginning of this month, where the players got the chance to fight against the protagonist from said series, Kirito and Asuna. With the DLC also came numerous cosmetics that allowed players to gear Alphen and Law with garbs that Kirito’s worn, whilst providing the same affordances with putting Asuna garments on Shionne.

Tales of Arise is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
